Nava Tehila Refugee Benefit Concert and Lag b’Omer Celebration

Celebrating Mothers and the Lag b’Omer holiday of gratitude, the Central Vermont Jewish community will come together for an amazing concert experience with the Nava Tehila Ensemble from Jerusalem, Israel. Every age welcome and encouraged!

All profits will benefit refugee programs.

LOCATION: ZenBarn, 179 Guptil Rd., Waterbury, Vt.

The Nava Tehila ensemble from Jerusalem has gained a reputation for its original and uplifting music. Their music can now be heard and sung in synagogues across Israel and throughout the globe.

Their groundbreaking work towards pluralism in Israel happens with music, song and the ecstatic celebration of prayer, Psalms and Song of Songs. Rooted in Middle Eastern, Hasidic, contemporary Israeli, and other “world” musics, Nava Tehila’s original compositions – alternately celebratory, meditative, joyful and reflective are designed to be participatory, encouraging inspiration, elation and Divine connection, with the end helping the spirit to soar.

This concert, a unique fundraising event for refugees, promises to be an extraordinary, uplifting musical experience and a truly special way to end a perfect Mother’s Day.  After the concert, we’ll join in solidarity and song around a traditional Lag b’Omer bonfire.

You will not want to miss it!
